Name: CMECS - Water column stability modifier - Fall
Display Field:
Type: Raster Layer
Geometry Type: null
Description: Five year mean for fall (October - December), as derived from reanalysis of the Naval Research Laboratory, Stennis Space Center (NRL/SSC) Intra-Americas Sea Ocean Nowcast/Forecast System (IASNFS), of temperature differences (temperature at the surface and at bottom layer or to 100 meters depth) in northern Gulf of Mexico. In situ data from the Southeast Area Monitoring and Assessment Program (SEAMAP) program were overlaid on the modeled data. Both the modeled data and the SEAMAP data were then reclassified into Coastal and Marine Ecological Classification Standard (CMECS) categories. Measurements are in degrees Celsius.
