Display Field:
Type: Raster Layer
Geometry Type: null
Description: Bathymetry for Corpus Christi Bay was derived from fifteen surveys containing 132,988 soundings. Four older, less accurate, overlapping surveys were removed before tinning. The average separation between soundings was 66 meters. The fifteen surveys used dated from 1989 to 1991. The range of soundings for the surveys was from 0.4 meters to -20.4 meters at mean low water. A mean high water value of 0.3 meters was assigned to the shoreline. Nine points were found that were not consistent with the surrounding points. These were removed prior to tinning. Corpus Christi Bay has nine 7.5 minute DEMs and a single one degree DEM.
