Description: Seawater temperatures at 10-m depths for winter, spring, summer, and fall show the effects of surface forcing, mainly from the annual cycle of solar radiation.

Description: Climatological mean fields of seawater temperature for the fall season (October - December) at 10m water depth on a 1/10th degree grid. Measurements are in degrees Celsius.

Description: Deeper in the water column, seawater temperatures at 250 m for winter, spring, summer, and fall show much less variability from direct surface forcing. These temperatures also show a structure defined more by the warmer Loop Current Waters entering between the Yucatan Peninsula and Cuba and then meeting the cooler Gulf of Mexico waters.
