Layer: Seagrass Halodule uninervis - Coefficient of Variation (ID: 19)

Parent Layer: Cover

Name: Seagrass Halodule uninervis - Coefficient of Variation

Display Field:

Type: Raster Layer

Geometry Type: null

Description: This layer depicts the variation in the predicted probability of occurrence for Seagrass (Halodule uninervis). Variation is denoted as the coefficient of variation (CV), which is unitless. CV is the ratio of the standard deviation to the mean for each pixel. It was calculated by creating 100 separate models, and then calculating the mean and standard deviation of probability of occurrence in each pixel across the models. For example, if the CV for a pixel is 0.25 and the probability of occurrence for that same pixel is 0.9 (90%), then the probability in that pixel varies by ± 0.25*0.9 = 0.225 (or 22.5%). The probability of occurrence in that pixel could therefore be between 67.5% - 100%. Dataset Citation: Kendall, M., B. Costa, S. McKagan, L. Johnston, and D. Okano. 2017.
