This dataset contains information on the Anthropogenic (manmade) oyster bottom in the Choptank River study area, represented as polygons. Anthropogenic oyster was classified into anthropogenic reef (size≥ 4,096 millimeters) and anthropogenic rubble (4,096 millimeters > size > 64 millimeters). The dataset is part of the benthic habitat map for the Chesapeake Bay by NOAA’s Chesapeake Bay Office using the Coastal and Marine Ecological Classification Standard (CMECS).
