Description: The map of cumulative human threats represents the sum of mapped human drivers in the study. Drivers comprise vessel damage, coastal infrastructure damage, coastal population pressure, light pollution, watershed-based pollution, marine-based pollution, and coral bleaching. Threat scores were calculated using the scaled and normalized scores of human drivers for each 100 m2 cell and result in values ranging from close to 0 (i.e. relatively negligible threats) to 6.1 (i.e. areas with relatively many threats). The scores are not conditional on ecological attributes and therefore do not explicitly reflect impact or vulnerability. The comprehensive coverage of cumulative threat scores in the study area is in contrast to the cumulative impact scores which are mapped only in in locations with important ecological attributes.
