Layer: St. Thomas/St. John Mean Predicted Acropora palmata Presence (ID: 323)

Parent Layer: ESA Listed Corals

Name: St. Thomas/St. John Mean Predicted Acropora palmata Presence

Display Field: ClassDesc

Type: Raster Layer

Geometry Type: null

Description: This raster dataset visualizes the output of MaxENT (Maximum Entropy Modeling) models used to predict the presence of suitable Acropora palmata habitat based on observations from field operations and associated environmental covariates such as depth, slope of slope, and rugosity. The average of the 10 model runs was taken for each pixel. Each pixel was binned into 1 of 5 classes ranging from low to very high based on the ratios of false positive error to false negative error. The likelihood of finding suitable habitat for Acropora palmata in a particular pixel increases from low to very high in the bin classes.
