Layer: Deep-Sea Corals and Sponges (ID: 16)

Sub Layers: Name: Deep-Sea Corals and Sponges

Display Field:

Type: Group Layer

Geometry Type: null

Description: These data layers depict geospatial data from models predicting the spatial distributions of deep-sea corals and sponges offshore of the continental U.S. West Coast to 1200 m depth. The data layers include records of deep-sea coral and sponge occurrence from the NOAA National Database for Deep-Sea Corals and Sponges and outputs from habitat suitability models predicting the spatial distributions of 31 taxa of deep-sea corals and 15 taxa of sponges. See the study technical report (Poti et al. 2020) for details.
