Description: These data layers depict the annual or seasonal climatological mean sea surface chlorophyll-a concentration (in mg/m3) offshore of the continental U.S. West Coast to 1200 m depth. The data layers were derived from remotely sensed ocean color data from multiple satellite instruments (SeaWiFS, Aqua MODIS, Terra MODIS, VIIRS).
